Product cleaning guide

All our products are handmade and come in natural finish, without any protective lacquers. We see oxidation as part of a process that adds patina to an object, making it more beautiful over time.

 

We make sure that all products leave our production in their original state, but sometimes products may come with minor traces of oxidation. In such cases, we recommend that you clean these traces using this cleaning instruction, or contact atelier atris. All installation instructions provided in the product box contain cleaning instructions.

 

Please make sure that you follow the instructions strictly. Products that have been improperly handled or cleaned without following these instructions are not covered by the warranty.

Light fixtures must be switched off and disconnected from the power supply before cleaning. When cleaning them, please be very careful and use the textile gloves included in the scope of delivery.

 

Brushed brass: As the product is not lacquered, it naturally oxidizes (gets darker). Touching an object without gloves may cause fingerprints and leave marks. The use of water, cleaning agents or liquids is unacceptable. Use an ultra-soft cloth. Do not press on persistent marks. Remove them with multiple gentle strokes.

 

The sandpaper provided may be used. Carefully and gently guide the sandpaper towards the grinding direction. Repeat until the natural patina is removed. Dust may appear during operation. The color of the product will temporarily become lighter until it oxidizes again. When using sandpaper, the buyer is solely responsible for the result of the work.

Marble and granite: Remove dust with soft cloth. Then you can use a slightly damp soft cloth and wipe gently until the surface is completely clean. Afterwards, wipe with a dry soft cloth. If the marble or granite was in direct contact with water, please dry it immediately to avoid staining.

 

Satin glass globes: Touching the glass globes without gloves may cause fingerprints and leave traces. Please wash them by hand and dry with a soft cloth immediately after rinsing.

 

It is only permissible to put the glass globe back on the lamp after it has dried completely.
